I close my eyes
I can fly
In my dreams
I wonder why
I can see the green of the grass
I can feel the coming of spring
I can laugh
I can sing
I can feel the wondrous world of beautiful things
The sweet scent of the air
The feel of a warm gentle breeze
I think of flowing streams
I think of the seas
I feel myself opening
To the thought of what life could hold
I have hope in my heart
And a smile in my soul
In this wondrous world of beautiful things
It’s a wondrous world of beautiful things.

This is excellent.
It gives hope to a person like me whose future will soon be dark, the darkness of total blindness I mean. All I'll have then are the memories of what the world looks like, but this poem of yours just reminded me that I'll still be able to feel the things I used to see so clearly. The visible world isn't going away after all.
And thanks for posting this.

Hmmmmm, this is rather fantasy like, but it's all right. That world is certainly not so much as such. It's dark and dim, dank and horrible. Sorry for being depressing, but it's only truth that I speak.
